Rihai Manch was supported by Association of Indian Muslims of America on the tenth day of its dharna against injustice for Khalid Mujahid and its demand for arrest of guilty police officers and IB officials.
On its eleventh day tomorrow the dharna will be attended by Zaheer Alam Falahi, Maulana Khalid's uncle and Tariq-Khalid's family and relatives.
Lucknow, May 31, 2013 /
Continuing its demand for release of innocents imprisoned illegally and justice for Maulana Khalid, Rihai Manch's indefinite dharna completed its 10th day. Manch said the attempted cover-up using various fake ulema working against the spirit of Islam and Muslim SP leaders, who label Khalid's murder as mere death from natural causes shows that not only is the IB and police involved by the government is the murder and was trying to wash its hands off the matter by influencing the investigation
Mohd Aafaaq from Socialist Front burnt the effigy of Abu Asim Azmi and said his claims of Khalid's death from disease is a betrayal to the Muslim society which will not be forgiven.

The spokespersons for Rihai Manch said that even the Association of Indian Muslims of America has expressed support for the movement for justice for Maulana Khalid in a letter written to Rihai Manch.

The dharna will be attended by Zaheer Alam Falahi, Maulana Khalid's uncle and Tariq-Khalid's family and relatives on its eleventh day tomorrow Zafar-ul-Islam Khan, editor of the Milli Gazette chairman of the All India Muslim Majlis e Mushawarat will show his support tomorrow.

Addressing the protesters former MP Ilyas Azmi said Abu Asim Azmi's remarks were irresponsible and a part of condemnable dirty politics. Ilyas Azmi said that Azamgarh which has been defamed by IB as a terrorism hub, is a sensitive topic and any person passing comments/judgment should ponder over its implications and not play politics about it.
Azmi said that the lie told about Khalid's death was so grave that no local Muslim leader was ready so say it hence SP had to fly Abu Azmi from Mumbai to say it, two weeks after Khalid's death.
President of Rihai Manch and Khalid-Tariq's lawyer Mohammed Shoeb said that Abu Asim Azmi, in a bid to bail out the government went to meet Tariq in jail but failed to meet Khalid's family, the same thing SP's 'paid ulema' were doing a few days ago, and Khalid's uncles refusal to accept the compensation was a fitting gesture for that. He said that even the Justice RD Nimesh report absolves Khalid-Tariq of all indictments and Abu Azmi should refrain from stooping so low in the name of politics.
He said that the government that keeps innocents locked up 23 hours in a day in the name of high-security wants to reduce these spirited young men to listless souls.
The dharna was addressed by Magsaysay awardee Sandeep Pandey, National Integration Party's Moid Syed, Haji Fahim Siddiqi, Ehsanul Haq Malik, Zaid Faruqi, Ishaaq,
Lakshman Prasad, Asad Hyatt from Awami Council, Faizan Musanna, Shuab Ali, Ajay
